Ryken Wellness Center in Gilbert offers multiple complementary therapies to help reduce and manage the stress associated with infertility, pregnancy and everyday life.
According to the theories of acupuncture and TCM, infertility is caused by an imbalance of the body’s energy flow called “Qi”, which affects the proper functioning of the various organ systems. When the body’s energy systems are imbalanced, there is no free flow of blood and energy throughout the body. This means the cells and tissues are not receiving nourishment thus leading to disease, dysfunction or injury. By improving circulation and energy flow to all areas of the body, this puts your body in a relaxed state so delicate cycles of fertility can flourish.
Our staff is also highly trained in infertility and pregnancy. Our treatment tables have memory foam pillows providing complete comfort during the different stages of pregnancy.

Pre-Netal Massage Therapy
Pre-natal massage differs from standard therapeutic massage in a couple different ways:
First, there is more Movement involved throughout the massage session compared to a regular therapeutic massage. These movements also involve some basic yoga postures to help lengthen the body, open the chest and release tension in the hips. Also, it is common practice during a Prenatal Massage to spend no more than 20 minutes on each side of your body and being placed in a more upright position. The reason is to keep the circulation balanced and for the mother and baby to feel comfortable with equal pressure throughout the body. These are all efforts to make room for the baby and to make the mother feel more relaxed throughout the session.
Second, there is more Communication throughout the massage. In comparison to a regular therapeutic massage session, you will be asked more about your comfort and discomfort levels to make sure the massage is comfortable and relaxing.
Prenatal Massage is “Therapeutic” and leads a strong, balanced pregnancy. Prenatal Massage does not have to be “Deep Tissue” to be considered “Therapeutic,” however. Each woman is different and will be honored during their massage sessions.
